10 Step Korean Skincare Routine

Korean skin care routines are what most of us are obsessed with now. K-beauty skincare promises beautiful, flawless natural skin. Their 10-step skin care regimen is a practical way to attain beautiful, radiant skin. You can flaunt your natural skin without putting on any makeup.

1) Oil Cleanser:
The first step is using an oil-based cleanser. You need an oil cleanser to remove sebum, SPF, makeup, and pollutants. Use an oil cleanser to begin your routine because water-based cleansers can’t effectively remove all the impurities in your skin.

2) Water Based Cleanser:
In order to wash away the built-up sweat and dust, use a foaming/water-based cleanser in the second step. You can get rid of dirt, grime, sweat, and oil-based pollutants by double cleansing your face.

3) Exfoliator:
Koreans exfoliate their skin regularly to prevent the buildup of dead skin cells. Exfoliators prevent blemishes, flaky skin, rough skin patches, dark spots, and wrinkles from appearing. It also helps unclog pores, and prevent acne breakouts, and make your skin feel smooth.

4) Toner:
Toners help remove excess dirt, and other impurities that your cleanser didn’t catch. It prepares your skin so that any serums or moisturisers you use afterwards will better absorb into the skin.

5) Essence:
The next step is applying essence, Essence is a skin care product with a high concentration of active substances that moisturize, protect, and enhance skin health. Apply essence to clean skin after using a cleanser and toner to help the skin cells regain moisture.

6) Serums:
This step helps with rejuvenating and repairing your skin, especially if you suffer from acne, pigmentation, wrinkles, or dullness. Using serums that have ingredients like Hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide, Vitamin C can keep your skin plump and hydrated.

7) Sheet masks:
Face masks can provide the fast results that people seek, so they can make your skin glow.

8) Eye cream
Eye creams help to moisturize and tighten the skin under your eyes. They can also prepare the skin for makeup, reduce puffiness, lessen the appearance of dark circles, and reduce wrinkles.

9) Moisturizer
The Koreans consider this step to be essential, and it functions more like a barrier to lock in the previous products that are applied to the skin. Use a mild moisturizer with a lotion base if you have oily skin. Use a heavy cream-based moisturizer on dry skin to keep it from becoming irritated.

10) Sunscreen
Applying sunscreen is a major step to protect your skin’s appearance, and it has to be used regularly. Sunscreen helps prevent sunburn, skin cancer, and premature aging.
