NEW DELHI: India is yet to expand its reach in covid, according to government sources. But the number of patients is increasing every day during this lock-down. Kovid has so far confirmed 4421 people in the country. 114 died of the disease. Five people have died of Kovid within the past 24 hours.
If the situation goes up, the number of Kovid patients in the country could reach 17,000 by the end of the Lockdown. About 30% of the country’s sufferers are attending the Tablig conference.
49% of the confirmed cases in the country have been reported in the last five days. In the 10 days between March 10 and 20, the number of coronary patients in the country has increased from 50 to 190. By March 25, it had risen to 606. By the end of March, the number of coronal patients in the country was 1397. But the next five days saw a huge upsurge. This is an increase of 120 per cent. As of April 4, 3072 cases were reported in the country. According to the latest data, 4421 people have been diagnosed with the disease so far.
The 21-day lockdown will end on April 14 in the country. However, there is a possibility that the lock-down could be extended as the disease spreads. Various states have started to take their stand on the matter. Telangana, Assam, UP, Punjab and Jharkhand are taking the stand.
The ministerial committee is meeting today to assess the situation in Kovil. The information is likely to discuss whether to continue the lockdown.
