19(1)(a) to be screened at the 45th Moscow International Film Festival 2023.
The film, directed by Indu V. S and produced by Anto Joseph Film Company, was selected for the non-competitive section of the 2023rd Moscow International Film Festival to be held in April 19. The film 19(1)(a), which portrays a socio-politically relevant theme through a feminist angle to a familiar and local storyline, won the FIPRESCI Prize at the IFFK recently. The film was screened at several film festivals in Kerala.
The film, which hit screens through Disney Hotstar in July 2022, was praised by leading film critics in India. Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi played the lead roles in the film.
Indrajith Sukumaran, Indrans, Srikant Murali, Deepak Parambol, Ismail Ibrahim, Bhagath Baby Manuel, Sreelakshmi, Arya Salim, Athulya Ashadam, Dinoy Poulose, Mano Jose, and Divya Gopinath also star in the film in supporting roles.
