On Monday, the bi-lingual movie Michael’s trailer was made public. Ranjit Jeyakodi wrote and directed the film, which features Sundeep Kishan in the lead role. Important parts are also played by Gautham Menon and Vijay Sethupathi.
An overview of widow spiders is given at the start of the trailer. The character of Gautham says that there is a certain kind that promptly kills the male spider upon mating. There are clues that women’s love is like a sticky spider web and that males will perish in that treacherous web. The movie seems to have a rather jaded perspective on romance and love. It seems that the presence of ladies only spells doom in the ominous underworld Ranjit has crafted. The video is jam-packed with a number of intense, bloody, and bone-crunching action scenes.
Sundeep has undergone a remarkable physical metamorphosis to portray a violent, jacked-up Michael. He does not share Gautham’s pessimistic perspective on love and women, despite appearing quite at ease when doing violent acts. Gautham queries, “Are you doing all this only for a female, Michael?” “Yes. Why should a man be living if not for a girl? Michael responds.
In the trailer, Vijay Sethupathi is barely visible. And it’s unclear how much of a role he will have in the movie. Divyansha Kaushik, Varun Sandesh, Ayyappa Sharma, Anasuya, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar are also featured in the film. It will debut in theatres on February 3.
