Actor and director Satish Kaushik passed away at the age of 66 in Gurugram.
Bollywood actor and his close friend, Anupam Kher, confirmed the sad news of his passing through a Twitter post. Anupam Kher stated, “I know “death is the ultimate truth of this world. However, I never imagined that I would write this article about my best friend, Satish Kaushik, while he was still alive. Such an abrupt end to a 45-year friendship! Life without you, Satish, will never be the same! Om Shanti.
Reports stated that Satish Kaushik passed away in the NCR following a heart attack. He reportedly had a heart attack in the car while visiting someone in Gurugram when his health started to fail. The actor’s body is currently at the Fortis hospital in Gurugram and will be transported to Mumbai after the postmortem.
He graduated from both the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India. One of his most notable performances was as “Calendar” in the film ‘Mr. India.’ Other movies in which Satish Kaushik appeared include Deewana Mastana, Brick Lane, Ram Lakhan, Saajan Chale Sasural, and more recent productions like Chhatriwali, Kaagaz, and Thar. He was the director of numerous movies, including Tere Naam, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Karzzz, Kaagaz, and Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja.
