Actress Alaya F revealed that she almost pursued a career other than acting when asked about star kids exploring other professional fields.
Alaya F has stated that she ‘almost’ chose a career other than acting, adding that one must work hard in whatever career one chooses. She was speaking in a new interview with DJ Mohabbat ahead of her new release, ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.’ Alaya Bedi is the granddaughter of Kabir Bedi and the daughter of actor Pooja Bedi.
When asked about her thoughts on star kids pursuing careers outside of show business, Alaya replied, “It’s great. I almost pursued a career other than acting. The key is to work hard at whatever you choose to do and to fight for your place in the world, regardless of profession.”
Alaya F made her debut in ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’ in 2020, alongside Saif Ali Khan and Tabu, but she had previously signed films that did not materialize. In a recent interview, she stated that while people appreciated her audition reels, she never received final offers. Anurag told her that he had the perfect film for her after seeing her reels, and she paired alongside newcomer Karan Mehta in Anurag Kashyap’s directorial, ‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat.’
‘Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat’ premiered at the Marrakech Film Festival. It was shown in the open air at Marrakech’s Jemaa El Fna Square. “The story of the film has taken shape over the years with my conversations with my daughter and the GenZ, and to realize how our set beliefs and conditioning affect them,” Anurag Kashyap said in a press statement about the film. “Recognize that we are immigrants in today’s world and that they are natives as well. This feels like a new inning, and I’m glad it’s starting with this film” he added.
Alaya took to Instagram following the premiere to express her gratitude. She posted a film festival montage video and wrote, “I’ve watched this video a hundred times and still can’t believe it’s real! Thank you for having us @marrakechfilmfestival. It was a surreal experience premiering our film Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohobbat on the big screen in the middle of Jemaa El Fna Square with all the wonderful people of Marrakech.”
