The makers of the Independence Day epic ‘August 16, 1947’ have released a new intriguing poster for the film. ‘August 16, 1947,’ starring Gautham Karthik, Revathy, and Pugazh, and directed by NS Ponkumar, will be released worldwide on April 7, 2023. The poster celebrates patriotic zeal by showcasing the lead actor alongside breathtaking period imagery.
The film tells a story about our freedom struggle that we have apparently never seen or heard before. A.R. Murugadoss’ latest project demonstrates his ability to find unique stories with universal themes. The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, and English.
In 2022, the film’s producers released a 1-minute, 42-second teaser that tells the story of a Tamil Nadu village where one brave man battles evil British forces.
