Autobiography of actor Salim Kumar’s ‘Eeshwara Vazhakkillallo’ unveiled by actor Kunchako Boban

“Eeshwara Vazhakkillallo,” the autobiography of actor Salim Kumar, was unveiled on Saturday in North Paravur at a celebration of friendship and camaraderie. Actor Kunchacko Boban presented a copy of the published book by Manorama Books to actor-director Ramesh Pisharody to officially launch it.

Speaking to the crowd at Salim Kumar’s hometown of Pooyappilly, Kunchako praised the latter for his role in social and political concerns. A Malayali cannot go a day on social media without seeing a Salim Kumar gesture or dialogue, the actor claimed.

The event’s inauguration was done by screenwriter Benny P. Nayarambalam. He praised Salim Kumar for his ability to convey difficult life events in straightforward words. The title of the book was originally set for a movie Salim Kumar had planned to create, with Pisharody playing the lead. Pisharody, who managed Salim Kumar’s mimicry group earlier in his career, recalled this. Due to Salim Kumar’s deteriorating health at the time, Pisharody and Salim Kumar’s shared acquaintances advised them to shelve the project.

The meeting was presided over by author N. M. Pierson. Among those who spoke were actors Dharmajan Bolgatty, Bibin George, Thomas Thoppilkkudy, Rajesh Paravur, and Vinod Kedamangalam.
