‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is a 2022 American epic science fiction film directed and produced by James Cameron. It is the sequel to Avatar (2009), which was a massive hit in theatres and set a long list of box office records.
The second part also didn’t disappoint in achieving new records. According to reports, the movie earned Rs 3598 crores in just three days worldwide.
Avatar 2 was released in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam on December 16, 2022, across 4000 theatres in India. It has earned 454 crores in India and crossed the box office collection of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, which had collected 438 crores. It also earned around Rs 133 crores in its first weekend in India, breaking the lifetime record of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.
