Bellamkonda Sreenivas, known for Telugu films Alludu Adhurs, Sita, and others, will make his Bollywood debut soon. The film is a Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster ‘Chatrapathi,’ starring Prabhas. While the film has generated enough interest among audiences, no major updates have been announced. With a new poster, the filmmakers announced the film’s title and release date.
The film’s creators announced the official release date and title on Twitter by sharing a poster. The Hindi remake, like the original, is titled ‘Chatrapathi.’ Chatrapathi will be released in theaters on May 12. The new poster features Sreenivas standing in the water with his chiseled bareback against a dark background of ships. The actor’s appearance has yet to be revealed and is being kept under wraps.
The film’s female lead will be played by Bollywood beauty Nushrratt Bharuccha. The actress made her Tollywood debut with ‘Taj Mahal’ in 2010. This will be her second Telugu film.
Bellamkonda Sreenivas reportedly underwent a complete makeover in order to play an action-packed role that was previously played by Prabhas. He also self-dubbed in Hindi and learned the language. He took Hindi classes to learn the language.
‘Chatrapathi,’ the Hindi remake, is being directed by V V Vinayak and produced by Jayantilal Gada’s Pen Studios. Vijayendra Prasad, Rajamouli’s father, who wrote the original’s story, has also written the script for the remake. Tanishk Bagchi composed the music for the film.
Sahil Vaid, Amit Nair, Rajendra Gupta, Shivam Patil, Swapnil, Ashish Singh, Mohammad Monajir, Auroshika Dey, Vedika, Jason, and others play prominent roles in the film. The film’s production has already been completed, and post-production is currently underway.
The plot and title of the Hindi remake are identical to those of the original Telugu film, Chatrapathi, which was released in 2005. RRR’s Oscar-winning director SS Rajamouli directed the Telugu film, which starred Prabhas and Shriya Saran in lead roles. The film became one of Telugu cinema’s biggest hits and won numerous awards.
