Bigg Boss 16 winner: Street rapper MC Stan

Rapper MC Stan, aka Altaf Shaikh, won the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss 16 yesterday in a surprise victory. Shiv Thakare, Archana Gauatam, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, and Shalin Bhanot were also contenders. Given the buzz surrounding the other finalists, few predicted Stan would win the show.

MC Stan is a Pune-based Street rapper. He began his musical career at the age of 12 when he began singing qawwalis. He first gained popularity when his songs Wata and Khuja Mat went viral on social media, making him a household name among young people. His YouTube channel has over 2 lakh followers. MC Stan is known as the “beef king” in the underground rap community. His YouTube channel has a total of 6.08 million followers.

Prior to his appearance on Bigg Boss 16, MC Stan made headlines when he split from his ex-girlfriend Auzma Shaikh last year. Soon after the breakup, he posted her address on social media, and some of his fans went to her house and threatened her.

MC Stan made friends with Sajid Khan, Shiv Thakare, and Abdu Rozik during his Bigg Boss journey, among others. Their “mandali” (group)’ kept everyone entertained. He also wowed the audience with his genuine personality. When Stan appeared on stage for the Bigg Boss 16 premiere last year, Salman was intrigued by his street-style lingo. The rapper’s rags-to-riches journey also impressed the host.
