Carnatic singer Bombay Jayashri suffers Brain Aneurysm, and is recovering well after surgery

Bombay Jayashri, a veteran Carnatic vocalist and playback singer, was recently discovered unconscious in her hotel room in Liverpool, England. According to reports, the Padma Shri recipient was on a tour in the United Kingdom with a group of other popular singers when she suffered an aneurysm, which caused her condition. Bombay Jayashri was rushed to a Liverpool hospital and reportedly underwent immediate keyhole surgery. According to the most recent information, she is no longer in danger and is recovering well.

The celebrated Carnatic vocalist’s family issued an official statement on her health condition via her official Instagram handle. “Bombay Jayashri suffered a health setback while touring in the United Kingdom for her concerts. She received prompt medical attention thanks to the NHS’s capable staff and her accompanying artists. She is currently stable and recovering well; she will need to rest for a few days.”
