Varisu, Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated bilingual film, is getting a big release for the biggest festival, Pongal. While the anticipation for the film is already high, the makers have released the third single from the film, “Soul of Varisu,” which is a soothing melody about a mother’s love. The lyrical song captures the moments between a son and his mother in the beautiful voice of singer Chithra.

S. Thaman composed the song, and Vivek wrote the lyrics. Previously, two songs from Varisu, Ranjithame and Thee Thalapathy, were released and became huge hits with audiences. On Twitter, the creators shared the third single, “Soul of Varisu,” and wrote, “To all the indescribable bonding and unconditional love of MOTHER. “The #SoulOfVarisu is ready to help!!”

Varisu, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, will revolve around the life of a young man who is the son of a business tycoon. Under unfavourable circumstances, he takes over his father’s empire. The much-awaited drama stars Pushpa actress Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, as well as R. Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha Krish in key roles.

Under the prestigious banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, ace producer Dil Raju is funding the project. Varisu and Varusudu will hit theatres on January 12, 2023, competing with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu. After a nine-year hiatus, the popular stars are set to square off at the box office.

While fans eagerly await this box office clash, actor Shaam, who plays a pivotal role in Varisu, revealed the star’s reaction when he learned that their film would clash with Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu. Vijay, according to Shaam, stated, “Hello, jolly…!! Allow both films to be released on the same day. Ajith Kumar is a dear friend of mine. Let Thunivu and our film succeed.”
