The second poster for Dulquer Salmaan starring ‘King of Kotha,’ has been released. Dulquer Salmaan appears in the second poster dressed in olive shirt and black trousers, holding a cigarette, and standing in front of his Jeep, looking overwhelmed. The poster also confirms that the film is a festival release and will be released in theaters on this Onam.
Dulquer Salmaan is celebrating 11 years in the industry today, and when he unveiled the poster, he captioned it, “So here’s another peek into the world of Kotha. “Introducing the second look of #KingOfKotha #KOK.”
‘King of Kotha’ is directed by Abhilash Joshiy, the son of ace filmmaker Joshiy. Abhilash Joshiy and Dulquer Salmaan were childhood friends, and the latter has called the upcoming film his ‘dream project’. The director confirmed that ‘King of Kotha’ is a gangster film.
‘King of Kotha,’ written by Abhilash N Chandran, is undoubtedly a passion project for Dulquer Salmaan. The film is produced by Wayfarer Films in association with Zee Studios. It also stars Shabeer Kallarakkal, Gokul Suresh and Aishwarya Lekshmi in lead roles. The cinematography is handled by Nimish Ravi, and the film score is composed by Jakes Bejoy while the songs featured in the film are composed by Shaan Rahman and Jakes Bejoy.
Abhilash talked about working with Dulquer as “Dulquer was an obvious choice for me because we grew up together and he is the person I am closest to in the industry. I first pitched it to him, and he liked it and said he’d do it. “It’s a gangster film with romance and songs that will appeal to both youth and families.”
