Famous Mollywood filmmaker Siddique passed away

The funeral for director Siddique was held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Ernakulam Central Juma Masjid. Just before it, from 9 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., his lifeless body was placed in the Indoor Stadium in Kadavanthra. Siddique, son of Ismayil Rawther and Sainaba of the ‘Sainabas’, was born in Kaloor, Ernakulam, in 1955.

In 1989, he made his directorial debut with the hugely popular Malayalam film ‘Ramji Rao Speaking’. He was a successful director of several successful films as well as a screenwriter, actor, and producer.

On Tuesday, Siddique passed away while receiving medical attention at a private hospital in Kochi. Sajitha, his wife of 68 years, and their three children, Saumya, Sara, and Sukoon, survive him.
