The iHeartRadio Music Awards 2023 have named Harry Styles ‘Artist of the Year’. The awards ceremony was held this year at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. While the singer was not present at the show, he did thank his fans for the honor in a video message. He also won awards for Favorite Love On Tour residency and Favorite Tour Style. This year, Harry was nominated for a number of awards, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Music Video for “As It Was,” as well as Favorite Residency for “Love on Tour.” With eight nominations, he tied for the most recognized artist on the show with Taylor Swift and Lizzo.
The 29-year-old pop star, however, made a point of thanking his fans via a video message that was played during the show. “I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the iHeartRadio Music Awards for giving me this prestigious honor of Artist of the Year,” Harry said, according to Opoyi. It’s very thoughtful of you, and I’m sorry I won’t be able to join you tonight. Thank you very much. I hope you all have a wonderful evening. Take care.”
To win this award, Harry beat out artists like Beyonce, Doja Cat, Drake, Dua Lipa, Jack Harlow, Justin Bieber, Lizzo, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd, who were nominated in the same category.
