Historical drama “Adipurush” seeks U-Certificate from censor board

‘Adipurush,’ directed by Om Raut, is one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year. Before the movie’s debut, there had been a lot of hype about it. The Censor Board has now granted the Kriti Sanon, Prabhas, and Saif Ali Khan starrer a U-Certificate.

The movie’s first teaser, which was criticised for its shoddy visual effects, has since gotten excellent reviews from both audiences and critics. Abhishek Agarwal, a producer and distributor in Tollywood, stated in Telugu that 10,000+ tickets would be handed out gratis to all the government schools, orphanages, and old age homes in Telangana as part of its extensive promotions.

With a reported budget of over Rs 500 crore and cinematography by Karthik Palani, the movie is one of the most costly Indian films ever filmed. Ajay Atul and Sachet Parampara composed the soundtrack, while Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara scored the music. Together, Apurva Motwale Sahai and Ashish Mhatre edited the movie.

Prabhas plays Lord Ram in the movie, Saif Ali Khan plays Ravana, Kriti Sanon plays Sita and Sunny Singh plays Laxman. On June 16, 2023, a global release of the movie, which was directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, Pramod, and Vamsi of UV Creations, is planned.
