Boman Irani posts a picture of the female pilots on his flight out of Mumbai and refers to it as “an image of emerging India.”
Boman Irani, a well-known Bollywood actor, praised two female pilots for taking his plane out of Mumbai on Thursday morning.
The actor posted a photo of the two female pilots on Instagram, where they can be seen grinning and waving at the camera.
“You have more power, and we all do too. Esha Gaur and Yashima Singh, I’ll be grinning the entire flight. I’m so proud of this photo. This is a picture of a developing India ” he said, quoting the picture.
Boman received love and admiration on social media for his post in support of the pilots. “I am so proud.. back then I heard someone mock girls for their driving skills, and now I see them flying the entire aircraft on their own.. hats off,” actress Harshada Patil said. Netizens also discussed their experiences flying with female pilots and all-female crews in the comment section.
On the professional front, Boman appeared in three films this year and was well-received for each of his performances. He started the year off with Ajay Devgn’s “Runway 34” before portraying Ranveer Singh’s father in “Jayeshbhai Jordaar.” With the critically acclaimed and financially lucrative slice-of-life movie “Uunchai,” in which he co-starred with Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Danny Denzongpa, Parineeti Chopra, and Sarika, he ended the year on a high note.
