Fans of Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri weren’t able to restrain their excitement when the two appeared together at an event in Pune. They are well-known for their successful on-screen chemistry in the movie Hero.
On Sunday, Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Seshadri, the popular on-screen couple from the 1983 film Hero, got reunited for an event in Pune. The two have also appeared in movies like Sachché Ká Bol-Bálá (1991), Akayla (1991), Dahleez (1986), Allah Rakha (1986), and (1989). Jackie posted a few photos of the two of them from the event on Instagram.
“Great start of a Sunday with my first leading lady, the ever graceful @meenakshiseshadriofficial ji for a Rotary function at Chandkhed,” Jackie wrote beside the photos when he shared them on Instagram. Meenakshi was dressed in a floral peach outfit, while Jackie was wearing a black denim shirt and matching pants, along with a hat and sunglasses.
They smiled for the camera as they posed in front of the event poster, which featured a scene from their film Hero. They also took photos with several residents. Another image depicts Jackie giving Meenakshi a little plant with his “Bhidu” logo.
Meenakshi married investment banker Harish Mysore in 1995 and left the industry following her 1996 film Ghatak to start a new life in the United States. They have two kids. She made a rare appearance at Jackie’s home in November of this year when she went to a party with him, Chiranjeevi, Anil Kapoor, Tina Ambani, and Venkatesh. Jackie and Poonam Dhillon hosted the event, which served as the occasion for the yearly reunion of actors from the 1980s.
Meenakshi also made a rare, televised cameo on Indian Idol last month. She revealed how she learned to cook after getting married and now makes delicious South Indian meals. She also brought a number of her home-made South Indian meals for the show’s judges.
