Kushi was supposed to be released in December 2022 but was postponed due to unfinished filming. After the first schedule of Kushi wrapped in Kashmir in May last year, Samantha revealed she was suffering from the rare auto-immune disease myositis. The actress took a leave of absence from work to undergo treatment. However, the actress returned to the set last month and was greeted warmly.
On March 8, Women’s Day, the actress resumed filming in Hyderabad and received a huge surprise from the crew. Vijay Deverakonda, director Shiva Nirvana, and the rest of the cast and crew greeted her with a cake and also celebrated Women’s Day.
Kushi is Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda’s second collaboration, following Mahanti in 2018. With posters, the title song, and BTS pictures, the duo has already captured the audience’s attention.
