The teaser of ‘Maidaan,’ a true story starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao in the lead roles, has been released. ‘Maidaan’ is inspired by the golden years of the Indian football team.
It is the true story of an unknown hero who made history and set records for India in such a way that even 60 years later, we are unable to match those achievements in the world’s most popular sport, football.
Maidaan is directed by Amit Ravinder Nath Sharma, who previously directed the National Award-winning film ‘Badhaai Ho.’ The film is produced by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, Arunava Joy Sengupta, and Zee Studios. Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah wrote the screenplay and dialogue, respectively.
Ajay Devgn portrays Syed Abdul Rahim, widely regarded as the father of Indian football. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on June 23rd.
