‘Malikappuram’ is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language action drama film directed by Vishnu Sasi Shankar and starring Unni Mukundan in the lead role. The film was released in theatres on December 30, 2022.
Now, sources say that the movie’s OTT rights have been bagged by Disney+Hotstar, and television rights will go to Asianet. The makers haven’t officially revealed anything about this and may also delay the OTT release, as the movie is still performing well in theatres.
The movie revolves around Kalyani, aka Kallu, a little girl from Panchalimedu village who is 8 years old and has a strong desire to visit the Sabarimala Ayyappan Temple. However, in this journey of hers, she encounters various hurdles to achieve her desires. The film is produced by Priya Venu and Neeta Pinto under the banners of Kavya Film Company and Aan Mega Media.
