He is also known as Ponniyin Selvan because he fell into the Cauvery River, also known as Ponni Nadhi, and was allegedly “saved” by the river Goddess, as seen at the end of PS 1. In the film, Aishwarya is the river Goddess who saved Arulmozhi. The new poster depicts Jayam Ravi, aka Arulmozhi Varman, with an intense expression among a crowd in the background.
The star-studded cast will reprise their roles, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandini, Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, Karthi as Vanthiyathevan, and Trisha as Kundavai. In addition to them, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi will appear in the sequel.
