Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan 2, new poster: Jayam Ravi, aka Arulmozhi Varman, looks intense

On the occasion of the chairman of Lyca Productions’ birthday, the makers unveiled a new poster of Jayam Ravi from the film. In the film, he plays Raja Raja Chola, also known as Arulmozhi Varman. He is also known as Ponniyin Selvan because he fell into the Cauvery River, also known as Ponni Nadhi, and was allegedly “saved” by the river Goddess, as seen at the end of PS 1. In the film, Aishwarya is the river Goddess who saved Arulmozhi. The new poster depicts Jayam Ravi, aka Arulmozhi Varman, with an intense expression among a crowd in the background.

The star-studded cast will reprise their roles, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Nandini, Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, Karthi as Vanthiyathevan, and Trisha as Kundavai. In addition to them, Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi will appear in the sequel.

There have been rumors that Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been delayed. However, the rumors are false, as the makers have confirmed that the PS 2 will be released in theaters as planned. Ponniyin Selvan 2 will be released in theaters worldwide on April 28. According to reports, the PS 2 trailer and audio will be released on April 5, just like the first installment. The grand event is expected to take place on April 5 in Chennai, amid the star-studded and others. However, an official confirmation is still pending.
