The first look poster of Meera Jasmine and Narain Ram in ‘Queen Elizabeth,’ has been released.
Meera Jasmine, who made a comeback with Sathyan Anthikad’s ‘Makal’ last year, will reunite with her ‘Achuvinte Amma’ co-star Narain Ram, in director M. Padmakumar’s ‘Queen Elizabeth.’
The film, billed as a family drama, went into production today following a pooja ceremony in Kochi. Shweta Menon, Ramesh Pisharody, Johnny Antony, Arya, Vineeth Vishwam, and Mallika Sukumaran play prominent roles in the film, which was written by Arjun T. Sathyan. The cast also includes directors VK Prakash, Jude Anthany Joseph, and Shyamaprasad.
During the pooja, Padmakumar, who previously directed ‘Joseph,’ ‘Pathaam Valavu,’ and the Bollywood remake of ‘Joseph’ starring Sunny Deol, stated that ‘Queen Elizabeth’ also highlights a relevant social issue. The film’s main locations are Kochi, Kuttikanam, and Coimbatore.
Narain was most recently seen in the Malayalam-Tamil bilingual ‘Adrishyam,’ which is now available on Amazon Prime Video. The actor is also in the Tamil film ‘Kural’ and the upcoming Jude Anthany Joseph directorial ‘2018,’ which will be released in April.
