Neeti Mohan credits her son Aryaveer for helping her improvise her songs

Singer Neeti Mohan credits her son Aryaveer for helping her improvise her songs. She has successfully returned to her professional life last year after staying low-key during her pregnancy and after becoming a mother in 2021. In addition to performing at consecutive shows, the singer had four film releases. Neeti is overjoyed with how she’s balancing her time as a mother and an artist, and she credits her son, Aryaveer, for inspiring her as a musician. “Every night I compose a lullaby on the spot when I put Aryaveer to bed. “It’s also helped me improvise on my songs,” says the Meri Jaan (Gangubai Kathiawadi; 2022) singer.

She is delighted that music has become an important part of her son’s life as well. “He enjoys music. I began singing for my baby while he was still in my womb. I start everything with a song or a melodic phrase, even if it’s a fruit or an animal. We have a song called “Crow Caw Caw.” So, I know that when I sing that, I’m not only teaching him about the crow, but also about its sound. When I play the piano, Aryaveer sits beside me and presses the keys. It’s a wonderful sensation. We also play the guitar together, and he has some musical toys. “He really does have a great deal of enjoyment with them,” she says.

When asked if she’d like her son to become a musician when he grows up, the singer says, “As a mom, I want him to get exposed to as many sounds as possible. I want to introduce him to various musical notes because they help sharpen your brain. Ultimately, whether he becomes a musician or not is up to him.”
