The OTT release date for ‘Thuramukham,’ which is based on the play of the same name by K M Chidambaran, has been announced. Although it did not do well, the Nivin Pauly-starring movie received positive reviews when it debuted in theatres this March.
The corrupt ‘chaapa system’ that existed in Mattancherry Port is the centre of the film. Additionally, it emphasises the difficulties of the working class and the extreme poverty that prevailed at the time. The film is supported by strong performances by a number of actors, including Poornima Indrajith, Arjun Ashokan, Darshana Rajendran, Nimisha, Joju George, Indrajith, and Sudev Nair.
The movie was supposed to come out last year, but it was postponed for a number of reasons. Additionally, it was one of Nivin Pauly’s most eagerly awaited releases to date.
SonyLiv will be streaming the Rajeev Ravi-directed and Gopan Chidambaran-written movie on April 28.
