OTT release date of Priyadarshan directorial “Corona Papers” has announced

Priyadarshan’s directorial, starring Shine Tom Chacko and Shane Nigam, has finally set an OTT release date. Sri Ganesh’s Tamil film ‘Thottakal,’ which was adapted from Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa’s 1949 film ‘Stray Dog,’ inspired the film.

Despite mixed reactions from the public, the audience at the theatres was not dismal. We now know that the film will be available for streaming on a major OTT platform.

The plot revolves around the theft of a young SI’s service gun, which sparks a string of killings around the city during the epidemic. The viewer is immediately brought into the heart of the drama, and the intensity only grows from there. The film also departs from Priyadarshan’s previous works by adopting a gloomy tone and lacking musical moments.

The film also stars Lal Jr., Siddique, and Sandhya Shetty and will be available on Disney+ Hotstar on May 5.

Priyadarshan’s most recent work is ‘Corona Papers.’ Prior to this, he directed ‘Marakkar: Lion of the Arabian Sea,’ starring Mohanlal. His second film, ‘Olavum Theeravum,’ is part of an anthology of stories by M. T. Vasudevan Nair.
