Parineeti Chopra completes filming for Diljit Starrer, Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Chamkila’ and says, “My life remains forever changed!
As she wraps up the shoot for ‘Chamkila,’ actress Parineeti Chopra wrote a special note for director Imtiaz Ali and the cast.
Parineeti took to Instagram and posted a series of photos with the caption, “The best human, the best director Imtiaz sir – Thank you for making me your Amarjot… Thank you for letting me surrender. @imtiazaliofficial. Diljit – I love you my sabse accha dost! Ab kiske saath gaungi main? @diljitdosanjh Thankyou mera Chamkila crew. You were the best. This film was my meditation. #Chamkila #FilmWrap #Punjab.”
The actor shared her fond memories of Punjab during the shooting of the film through instagram.
The film is directed by Imtiaz Ali and stars Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role. Amarjot Kaur and Amar Singh Chamkila, two well-known Punjabi singers, also star in the film.
The film is based on the fact that on March 8, 1988, Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife, Amarjot Kaur, were assassinated, along with members of their musical band. The film’s official release date is still unknown.
In the meantime, Parineeti is enjoying the success of her film ‘Uunchai,’ in which she co-stars with Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, and Anupam Kher.
Diljit will also appear in ‘The Crew,’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu.
