‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ by Mani Ratnam has been lauded by moviegoers worldwide. In just four days, the movie’s global box office took in more than Rs 200 crore. The movie is probably going to break more box office records. The popularity of the movie has been boosted by the solid foundation that each of the actors has and by Mani’s creative vision.
Karthi, who plays Commander Vandhiyathevan in the film, recently took some time off and met his admirers at his home amid all the love and acclaim that PS2 is receiving. The actor spoke with his devoted fans, who travelled from Japan to Chennai to see PS2. Longtime fans of Karthi, Terumi Kakubari Fujieda and Isao Endo, travelled all the way from Japan to see him in Mani Ratnam’s movie.
Karthi obliged everyone with pictures after knowing about their arrival and taking some time off. Social media users are raving about pictures of the Japanese couple seeing the star. Prior to meeting the actor in Chennai, the couple watched the historical drama four times.
Ponniyin Selvan is an adaptation of the well-known Kalki Krishnamurthy literary work in Tamil of the same name. Jeyamohan wrote the two-part movie. In this epic, the leading characters are played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi.
