On Wednesday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Jayam Ravi, and Sobhita Dhulipala were all walking the red carpet for the major trailer launch of ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2′ in Chennai. Aishwarya, who portrays Nandini, walked the red carpet while wearing a conventional pink outfit. The actress can be seen posing stylishly in the video, which Lyca Productions’ official page tweeted. The caption stated, “#PS2 #Nandini’s graceful and entrancing beauty has made her presence at the greatest event of the evening!”
Trisha, who plays Princess Kundavai, showed up on the red carpet wearing a blue saree with embellishments and accessorising with bold jewellery. “An essence of royalty even off-screen, @trishakrishnan,” the Lyca Productions official page captioned the video of the actress seated on the throne.
Arulmozhi Varman, played by Jayam Ravi, arrived wearing just black clothing. The actor is seen in the video standing elegantly for the camera while seated on a throne. The caption stated, “Our Ponniyin Selvan @jayamravi official is at the #PS2AudioLaunch with his gracious grin and charm.”
Vaanathi, Princess of Kodumbalur, played by Sobhita Dhulipala, looks gorgeous in a pink saree and striking jewellery.
Aishwarya Lekshmi graced the red carpet wearing a classic white outfit as Poonguzhali, a Samuthirakumari. “She has already won the oceans, and she is now coming to win your hearts. Our Samuthirakumari.”
Vikram and Karthi co-star in the lead roles of Mani Ratnam’s second part. The period drama’s music album and trailer were released last night, and viewers responded pleasantly to both. ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’, which is produced by Mani Ratnam and Subaskaran Allirajah through Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, will be released in theatres on April 28.
