Prithviraj Sukumaran confirms the prequel to “Kaduva”

Prithviraj Sukumaran, who has many really intriguing projects in the works, is in an excellent phase of both his acting and directing careers. Kaduva, the actor-turned-most director’s recent theatrical release, was a huge financial success. The film, an homage to classic Malayalam mass action flicks, had Prithviraj Sukumaran reuniting with veteran director Shaji Kailas. Kaduva’s creators recently hosted a lavish gala in Kochi to honour the film’s enormous success.

The Kaduva star announced that a prequel will be released very soon when he addressed the crowd at the film’s success party. It was directed by Shaji Kailas. The prequel will tell the tale of Kaduvakunnel Kuriachan’s father, Koruthu Mappila, as per Prithviraj Sukumaran, who played the lead role in the original film. By referencing Koruthu Mappila’s brave and adventurous life in some of the most vital parts of the movie, the filmmakers had given the uninitiated a hint that Kaduva would have a sequel or prequel based on the character.

Prithviraj lists the actors he would like to see play Koruthu Mappila. At the occasion, Prithviraj Sukumaran also shared a list of potential contenders to play Koruthu Mappila. It’s interesting that the actor-producer stated that the main role in the Kaduva prequel will be played by one of Mammootty, Mohanlal, or Suresh Gopi. If all three of the three Malayalam film celebrities decline the offer, Prithviraj added that he might change his hair and play the part of the 60-year-old Koruthu Mappila.

Meanwhile, fans who kept going back to Kaduva after the movie was made accessible on Amazon Prime Video have seen a painting of Koruthu Mappila that eerily resembles megastar Mammootty. The film aficionados now think that the veteran actor has already been signed on to play the part in the Kaduva prequel, and they expect an announcement in the near future.

Prithviraj Sukumaran plays Kaduvakunnel Kuriachan, a wealthy plantation owner from Kerala’s Kottayam district, in Kaduva, the filmmaker Shaji Kailas’s return to filmmaking after an absence of seven years. In the movie, Vivek Oberoi plays the main antagonist. The supporting cast included Samyuktha Menon, Kalabhavan Shahjohn, Arjun Ashokan, Baiju Santhosh, and Alencier Ley Lopez.
