“PS-2″ to battle KJO’s ” Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani ” on 28th April
Earlier on this Wednesday, makers of the Mani Ratnam directorial- “Ponniyin Selvan”, Lyca Productions announced the release date of “PS 2”. Interestingly, the King-Maker of Bollywood, Karan Johar has already announced the release date of His most Awaited Comeback film – “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani” in an Instagram post on November 12.
The Bollywood industry is all hyped up for witnessing another hit from the unrivalled hitmaker of Bollywood who has given us evergreen dramas like “DDLJ”, “Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gam”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”, “Kal Ho Naa Ho” and many more. He expressed his joy of returning to the industry as a film maker after a long 7 years. The filmmaker had revealed that the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer, which is slated to be a family entertainer.
With both big-budget films eyeing a box office clash, we wonder which film will trump the other.
PS earned its makers a global box office gross of Rs 496 crore, making it the second highest-grossing film ever from Kollywood. The film did extremely well at the box office and has already garnered immense among fans for the sequel. It is helmed by the queen of Bollywood Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Chiyan Vikram along with Trisha Krishnan, Karthi and Jayam Ravi, all basking in the limelight after the huge success of PS-1.
Whereas the major attractions of KJO’S comeback film is that the legendary actors Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan is brought back to the screen after decades. It is certain that there is more chance of Ponniyin Selvan 2 faring well, considering the amount of curiosity it has already generated with the first version.
