Ranbir Kapoor, at the Red Sea Film Festival, discusses his biggest mistake on Shamshera

Ranbir Kapoor recently travelled to Saudi Arabia to take part in the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah. The new dad spoke openly about Shamshera’s debacle in an interview.

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt welcomed Raha, their first child, on November 6, 2022, and he is now enjoying being a parent. The Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani actor has marked his presence at the Red Sea International Film Festival taking place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He discussed the failure of his film, Shamshera, during the event at one of the Red Sea Film Festival’s last “In Conversation” sessions.

“The most difficult film Ranbir has ever worked on,” he claimed.”The worst error I made on Shamshera was sticking on a beard, which was a huge box office disaster. “It feels like your face is melting when you’re shooting in the heat and you plaster on a beard,” he added, referring to the prosthetic beard he wore for the film, according to Deadline.Ranbir made history by performing a double part in it. Sanjay Dutt, Vaani Kapoor, Ronit Roy, and Saurabh Shukla also starred in Shamshera. The historical action movie was made by Karan Malhotra.

Ranbir also revealed if he would like to make his Hollywood acting debut, like his wife, actress Alia Bhatt, who will do it with the film Heart of Stone. Although the actor claimed he would never say never, he is “very satisfied” with the opportunities that are presented to him in his nation and in his native tongue. ” Ranbir acknowledged that he does experience some mental obstacles when acting in English. “Since it comes naturally to me, I’d prefer to behave in my native tongue. But “Never say never”  he added.
Ranbir will next be seen in the films “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and an untitled Luv Ranjan film starring Shraddha Kapoor.
