The upcoming survival drama ‘2018,’ directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, postponed its release to May 5. The film is one of the most promising upcoming projects in Malayalam cinema.
The film, which revolves around Kerala’s survival during the state’s extremely destructive floods in 2018, has been in the works for quite some time. The highly anticipated project captivated audiences with its stellar cast as well as the excellent official teaser, which was released in December 2022.
Director Jude Anthany Joseph and the cast and crew members, including popular actor Tovino Thomas and other stars who play pivotal roles in the film, announced the ‘2018’ movie release date via their official social media handles. An earlier release of the movie was planned for April 21.
Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Aparna Balamurali, Kalaiyarasan, Narain, Lal, Janardhanan, Indrans, Sudheesh, Aju Varghese, Thanvi Ram, Shivada, Gauthami Nair, and others play prominent roles in the film. The film’s script was written by director Jude Anthany Joseph himself.
The photographer is Akhil George. The editing has been handled by Chaman Chakko. Nobin Paul has composed music and created an original score. Venu Kunnappilly, C. K. Padmakumar, and Anto Joseph are producing ‘2018’ through their Kavya Film Company in collaboration with P. K. Prime Production.
