Rolex, portrayed by Suriya in Vikram, will have a spin-off

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s blockbuster film Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan, has Suriya in a cameo appearance. It’s interesting to note that the movie’s Rolex character will have a spin-off.

The action-thriller Vikram, which debuted in theatres in June of this year, quickly became one of the most successful films ever produced in Tamil, as well as Kamal Haasan’s career. The Lokesh Cinematic Universe, commonly known as LCU, was founded by the young director and includes the multi-starrer that he wrote and directed. More films in the franchise have already been announced, one of which will be a spin-off centered on Suriya’s performance.

Action star Kamal Haasan and director Lokesh Kanagaraj announced that there will be more series of LCU, including the Vikram sequel, which has been titled Vikram 2, and Karthi’s Kaithi 2. This was said in a recent “Filmmakers’ Adda done by the famous online magazine Film Companion. It’s interesting that Lokesh said a movie about Rolex, the role played by Suriya, is also in the works when host Anupama Chopra asked about it.

“I’m now working on a movie (Thalapathy 67). After that, I need to sit down and talk with Kamal Haasan, sir. Therefore, it will be Vikram 2, Kaithi 2, and most likely a Rolex” Lokesh Kanagaraj disclosed. “Since it is a world, we all have the freedom to make any kind of movie, including prequels and sequels, with any character we choose. “I’m thus set for the next ten years,” he continued. On the other hand, Kamal Haasan continued, “We have made a commitment, so it’s up to us to keep it up.”

For those who are unaware, Vikram featured Suriya in a cameo as Rolex, the boss of Vijay Sethupathi’s Sandhanam, the main antagonist. The crowd was entirely won over by the National Award-winning actor’s never-before-seen avatar as the cold-blooded don. The conclusion of Vikram hinted that the main character, played by Kamal Haasan, and Suriya’s Rolex would square off next. The recent disclosure by the actor-director team has made moviegoers giddy with excitement.
