Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is enjoying his 50th birthday with a cup of tea somewhere in nature. God of Cricket uploaded a picture on Instagram with the message, “Tea Time: 50 Not Out!”
Tendulkar uploaded two pictures of himself drinking tea while sitting on the side of a swimming pool with a view of the ocean. When everyone expects the little master to celebrate his birthday with vigour, the cricketer decides to sit quietly and enjoy his own company.
Tendulkar’s 50th birthday is being celebrated as a festival by his followers all over the world, and the day of his birth is being honoured as a festival by his supporters. Sachin’s birthday festivities began three days before the actual day, with a cake-cutting ceremony set up at Wankhede Stadium before the Mumbai Indians’ match against the Punjab Kings.
Sachin’s batting partner Virender Sehwag also wished in his own way by executing ‘sheersha asana’. “Maidaan par jo aapne kaha, uska ulta hi kiya, toh aapke iconic 50th birthday par toh aapko Shirshasana karke wish karna hi tha. I want to wish you a very happy birthday. Paaji, aap jiyo hazaaron saal, ek crore ke din. #HappyBirthdaySachin.” he tweeted.
“I’ve said forever that Sachin Tendulkar is technically the best batter that I’ve ever seen and played with or against. Whatever strategy we devised as a bowling group, he found a way to counter.” veteran Australian cricketer Ricky Ponting remarked.
Indian cricketers Shikhar Dhawan, Dinesh Karthik, Shubman Gill, Ajinkya Rahane, and others all wished the living icon a happy birthday.
“Sachin Tendulkar scores another half-century.” “A cricketing legend throughout the years, #50forSachin,” the ICC tweets.
