The Telugu film “Shaakuntalam,” starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu, which was originally scheduled to release in theatres on November 4, 2022, will now hit theatres on February 17, 2023. The movie is all set to release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.The movie is a mythological drama written and directed by Gunasekhar. The movie is produced by Neelima Guna, and it is based on the popular play Shakuntala by Kalidasa.
The epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyanta from the Mahabharata is the central theme of Shaakuntalam. It’s a pan-Indian movie and will also be available in 3D. Samantha plays the lead character of Shakuntala in the movie, and the actor Dev Mohan plays the role of Dushyanta, the King of the Puru Dynasty. Mohan Babu, Gautami, Aditi Balan, and Ananya Nagalla also appear in this movie as supporting actors. Telugu actor Allu Arjun’s daughter, Arsha Arjun, is also in this movie as Prince Bharata.
