Disney+ Hotstar has acquired the streaming rights to the action/drama movie “Sembi.” The film will start streaming on February 3rd, and it will be available in Tamil (original), Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada audio languages. The Kollywood movie Sembi was released in theatres on December 30, 2022, and the critics have given the movie favourable reviews. Prabhu Solomon is the writer and director of the film. The movie conveys the lesson that everyone should love their neighbour as themselves.
Kovai Sarala, Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan, Thambi Ramaiah, Nanjil Sampath, Pala. Karuppiah, G. Gnanasambandam, and Mullai Arasi star in Sembi. The movie is produced by R. Ravindran, Ajmal Khan, and Reyaa under the production banners Trident Arts and AR Entertainment. M. Jeevan is the cinematographer.

The story revolves around an innocent 10-year-old girl named Sembi who is viciously raped by three young men, and how the poor victim obtains justice then becomes a contentious political issue. Later, Veerathayi ends up killing a police officer while forcing them to drop the investigation. They catch the Anbu bus and travel from Kodaikanal to Dindigul. As the plot develops, the 24 passengers on the bus help Veerathayi and her granddaughter seek justice under the guidance of a lawyer who is also a passenger (Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan).
