The choreographer-turned-actor Raghava Lawrence expressed his intention to appear in ‘Chandramukhi 2,’ and he teamed with P. Vasu, the director of the prequel. The 2021 announcement of the Tamil sequel to the 2006 film led to production beginning in the middle of 2022. ‘Chandramukhi 2’ was being shot at many Southern locales, but the Mysore palace served as the primary site for much of the film’s production.
According to the most recent official information from the makers, ‘Chandramukhi 2’ has been finished, and the project, whose development took two years, has successfully completed its final stage. The ‘Chandramukhi 2’ producers announced the end of filming by posting a picture of director P. Vasu alongside Raghava Lawrence and other supporting cast members.
Kangana Ranaut plays the female lead, reprising Jyotika’s Chandramukhi character, while Raghava Lawrence plays the male lead, reprising Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan character from the prequel. Additionally, playing significant roles in the horror drama are Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Srushti Dange, and Ravi Maria. The soundtrack is being composed by Oscar-winning ‘RRR’ composer MM Keeravani, who is working on his first Tamil film in 22 years.
The prequel’s prior plot is purportedly recounted in ‘Chandramukhi 2,’ which will be released simultaneously in several different languages. The much-anticipated sequel may premiere on theatre screens in September, in time for a festival.
