Shruti Hassan on missing the pre-release event of her movie

Shruti Haasan is an Indian actress and playback singer who primarily appears in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi movies. She is a Haasan family member, having been born to actor-director Kamal Haasan and actress Sarika Thakur.

Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy and Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya, two movies that come out for Sankranthi, are Shruti Haasan’s two films that she is juggling. In both movies, the actress plays the lead role. She is currently making news, though, for criticising media accounts of her mental health. According to rumours, the actress’s mental instability prevented her from attending the Waltair Veerayya pre-release ceremony.

Shruti Haasan responded on social media on Thursday night to rumours that she had skipped the Waltair Veerayya pre-release function. The actress

posted multiple screenshots of news articles claiming that she is receiving therapy for mental health issues. She just criticised the unfounded rumours on Twitter by writing, “Nice attempt! And I’m grateful because my viral fever is subsiding nicely.”

Shruti Haasan, who is well known for consistently speaking up about mental health, wrote a lengthy post on Instagram about the value of doing so. She penned, “Ok so here’s the thing, misinformation like this and the over dramatisation or flippant handling of such subjects is what makes people afraid to talk about mental health… Guess what? It doesn’t work. I will always be a mental health advocate I will always promote taking care of myself in all aspects. Oh and… I had a viral fever so nice try get over yourselves and while you are at it please talk to a therapist. No really, please do.”
