Pathu Thala, starring Silambarasan TR, is one of the most eagerly anticipated films in Tamil. The film’s teaser was released yesterday to much fanfare. The one-minute video delves into the world of Simbu’s character, gangster AGR, and promises to be an action-packed entertainer. Fans appreciate the actor’s swagger and aura as a gangster.
The teaser doesn’t reveal much, but it does hint at a story about a mafia boss who rose to the top through difficult means and now faces new challenges to survive. The actor is portraying a gangster who helps underprivileged children. Gautham Menon, who plays Sriimurali in the original, also looks powerful as he tracks down Simbalarasan.
The film is directed by Obeli Krishna, and it is a remake of Shivarajkumar’s Kannada film ‘Mufti.’ In addition to Silambarasan TR and Gautham Karthik, the film also features Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Teejay, Joe Malloori, Kalaiyarasan, and Redin Kingsley in key roles. In terms of the technical crew, music maestro AR Rahman composed the music for ‘Pathu Thala, ‘while Farook Basha is behind the camera.
Pathu Thala, produced by Jayantilal Gada and K. E. Gnanavelraja under their Studio Green and Pen Studios banners, is set to hit theaters on March 30.
Following that, Silambarasan TR will collaborate with director Desingh Periyasamy, best known for his work on the Dulquer Salmaan film ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal.’ The film is produced by legendary actor Kamal Haasan through his banner, Raaj Kamal Films, and is set to begin production this year.
