After a successful 43-year career as a screenwriter, SN Swamy is ready to make his directorial debut at the age of 72. He has authored the scripts for various Malayalam hits throughout the span of his four-decade career, including ‘Oru CBI Diary Kurippu’ and ‘Irupatham Noottandu.’
He is particularly well known for his criminal thriller stories. The love drama that Swamy made as his first film as a filmmaker stars Dhyan Sreenivasan. Interestingly, he would become the oldest debut director in Malayalam film history owing to this achievement.
Swami’s writing for the 1980 film ‘Chakkarayumma’ marked the start of his career in the movie film industry. Over time, he has built strong relationships with renowned filmmakers like K Madhu and Joshiy. Among Swami’s various literary works, ‘Sethurama Iyer CBI’ is still a well-known figure in Malayalam movies. The character has become quite well known, and its influence on what happens at work is evident.
