Telugu actor Sarath Babu passed away

Sarath Babu, an actor well known for his performances in Tamil and Telugu films, has died. Following the untimely death of Kollywood director-turned-actor and producer Manobala earlier today, actor Sarath Babu, well known for his performances in Rajinikanth’s ‘Annamalai’ and ‘Muthu’ in Tamil, has died.

 

The well-known actor was brought to the hospital early this month and was receiving treatment. While he was being treated at the hospital on May 3, stories of his death began to surface on social media. When fans and celebrities began to express their condolences, his family denied claims of his death and stated that he was recuperating. While his health was apparently steady and great, the outstanding actor died today.

Sarath Babu was brought to a hospital in Hyderabad earlier this month, and his condition was described as serious. The 71-year-old was in the hospital on a ventilator and receiving treatment for multi-organ damage. It should be mentioned that this was his second hospitalisation after being hospitalised and treated at a hospital in Chennai earlier this year.

The renowned actor debuted in the film business in 1973 with a Telugu film and came to prominence with the Tamil film ‘Nizhal Nijamagiradhu,’ which also starred Kamal Haasan and was directed by K Balachander. He was last seen in Tamil in ‘Vasantha Mullai,’ starring Bobby Simhaa, earlier this year.

Sarath Babu’s birth name was Satyanarayana Dixit in Amadalavalasa, Andhra Pradesh. He changed his name to his current one after entering the film industry.
