The third song from Mani Ratnam’s masterpiece Ponniyin Selvan-2 ( PS-2 ) was released. Renowned vocalists Sathyaprakash, Dr. Narayanan, Sreekanth Hariharan, Nivas, Aravind Srinivas, Shenbagaraj, and T. S. Ayyappan have performed the entrancing song that was written, produced, and orchestrated by A R Rahman.
The story, which includes an intense chant, shows actor Rahman’s Madhurantakan battling for the Chola throne and creating alliances with the Kalamugars, led by a fierce chieftain played by Makarand Deshpande.
The song reflects India’s rich cultural past and has historical and cultural significance. Shivoham is based on Adi Shankara’s Nirvana Shatakam. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan and Sobhita Dhulipala are among the major actresses in PS-2. Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Lal, Kishore, Ashwin Kakumanu, and Aishwarya Lekshmi are among the supporting actors.
PS-2 is distributed by Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions. jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies. On April 28, 2023, PS-2 will be made available in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam around the globe.
