The pictures are from a pivotal part of the film, and the netizens have gone teary-eyed seeing the pictures.
Tovino Thomas shared the picture and entitled it ‘2018’ with a heart emoji.
The role of Anoop, performed by Tovino Thomas, is imprinted deep in the hearts of the viewers. Tovino Thomas revealed, “Initially, when Jude Chettan (the director) narrated the script, I was hesitant to play this character. I was dubious since, back in 2018, my good intentions were misunderstood. So, I informed him that I didn’t want to link my name with anything that had to do with the floods. But he convinced me. The first days of filming were fairly relaxing. Later, things started to get stressful; it nearly felt as if we were among a real flood. We put in a lot of hard work, and it has worked out wonderfully. So, yeah, I feel I was intended to portray the part of Anoop!”
‘2018,’ directed by Jude Anthany Joseph with Tovino Thomas in the lead role, has created history. The survival thriller surpassed Rs 200 crore at the international box office, which is the first in the history of Malayalam films. The film based on the 2018 Kerala floods went phenomenally well in theatres and saved the theatre owners from a dark moment.
