‘Raangi’ is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film directed by M. Saravanan, produced by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions. The film stars Trisha in the leading role.
After Ponniyin Selvan-1, the celebrated veteran actress Trisha Krishnan will be seen next in Raangi. The film, which has been in production for a while, will finally hit the theatres this Friday. This film explores the action avatar of the Ponniyin Selvan star.
Three years prior, the teaser for the film was released by the producers. They recently produced a trailer that effectively summarises the project’s narrative. It centers on a young woman who sets out to rescue a number of children from the clutches of a dangerous terrorist band.
It was written and directed by M. Saravanan, the man behind the well-known comedy drama road movie “Engeyum Eppodhum.” The action scenes of this much awaited Action movie are choreographed by Rajasekar, KA Shakthivel and M Subarak handled cinematography and editing, respectively. Kabilan wrote the song lyrics, and SS Murthy oversaw the art direction.
The most interesting part is that the screenplay is written by the celebrity director A.R Murugadoss who has marked his position in Kollywood Industry with just four films including ‘Ghajini’, all of them starred by the bigshots of Tamil Cinema.
This movie, which is funded by Lyca Productions, will include Anaswara Rajan in a key role. This film’s score was composed by C Sathya.
The movie’s satellite and over-the-top (OTT) rights were sold for a hefty price. The film’s creators made an official announcement on social media stating that Sun NXT and Sun TV hold the internet streaming rights as well as the satellite rights.
