The makers of Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus, ‘Ponniyin Selvan: 2,’ which is almost ready for release, have released the second song from the movie, “Veera Raja Veera.” Song mainly shows the romance of Arunmozhi and Vanathi.
The song was written by Oscar and Grammy Award-winning composer A R Rahman, and it is included in a scene starring Karthi, Trisha, Jayam Ravi and Shobita Dhulipala against a background of warships cruising over the open seas. It is modelled around a conventional Shiva Stuti in Raag Adaana from the Dhrupad Dagar vani style.
‘Ponniyin Selvan: 2’, the sequel to ‘PS-1,’ the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2022, is directed by Mani Ratnam, a National Award-winning director of timeless achievements.
The movie, which will be shown in theatres worldwide on April 28 in the languages of Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, is based on the classic Tamil novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ by Kalki Krishnamurthy.
