The actor had been under medical care while being treated in the hospital for several days after experiencing multiple organ failure earlier this month. He will be laid to rest on Saturday night in Pune, according to a family acquaintance.
Doctors at Deenanath Mangeshkat Hospital, where the actor was receiving medical treatment, report that his condition continued to deteriorate and that he was once again taking medication to sustain his blood pressure. He was still critically ill and was being supported by a ventilator. He passed away in the late afternoon, today. Rajesh Damle, a family acquaintance, stated, “His remains would be held for an antemortem at Balgandharv Auditorium. At the Vaikunth crematorium in Pune, the last rituals will be held at 6 o’clock.
The actor had spent many days in the hospital. His death was reported earlier this week on social media, and several Bollywood stars, including Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, and Jaaved Jaafery, among others, posted condolences on Twitter in response. These rumours were later denied by his relatives.
Vikram’s wife, Vrushali Gokhale, gave an update on his condition on Thursday. “Vikram Gokhale has been in serious condition for the past 24 hours, according to a statement from Vrushali. Doctors are making every effort. He is not reacting to the medication as anticipated. “He has a multiorgan failure.”
Vikam Gokhale, a veteran of stage and screen, gained notoriety in Marathi theatre and cinema before making his Hindi film debut in the Amitabh Bachchan-starring Parwana at the age of 26. (1971). In a career spanning more than 40 years, he made appearances in a number of movies, including Agneepath (1990), Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Natsamrat (2015), Hichki (2018), and Mission Mangal (2019).
He won the National Award for Best Actor in 2010 for his performance in the Marathi movie Anumati. He made his directing debut with the Marathi film Aaghaat. He last appeared in Nikamma with Abhimanyu Dasani and Shilpa Shetty. In June of this year, the movie was released in theatres.
