Vicky Kaushal-led film Sam Bahadur would be released on December 1, 2023, as per the teaser

Today, the first teaser for Sam Bahadur, which stars Vicky Kaushal as Sam Manekshaw, was released. Vicky is seen in the video walking among soldiers who are moving aside for him while wearing the uniform of the Indian Army. The teaser obscures the actor’s face. Sam Bahadur is based on the life of Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw.

Sanya Malhotra plays Silloo, Sam Manekshaw’s wife, in the movie, and Fatima Sana Shaikh portrays Indira Gandhi, a former prime minister. The movie is scheduled to be released on December 1, 2023, one year from now. Vicky shared the teaser and said, “365 days to go… SamBahadur will debut in theaters on December 1, 2023. The first teaser revealing the release date was also released by the makers on Twitter.

Sam Manekshaw, India’s first Field Marshal, had a career in the Indian Army spanning four decades and numerous battles. Sam Bahadur is based on his life. He was the first Indian Army general to be given the title of Field Marshal, and Bangladesh was founded as a result of his military triumph in the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, apart from Vicky, Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima, the film also stars Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, Richard Bhakti Klein, Saqib Ayub, and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela, among others.

Vicky shared images from the movies outside location shot earlier in October after the crew finished a schedule. Director Meghna had stated in the video, “With that, we close the first outdoor schedule of Sam Bahadur,” and Vicky had stated, “It’s a schedule wrap.”

Vicky had met Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s grandson Jehan earlier this year as he began working on the biography. On the 106th anniversary of Sam Manekshaw’s birth, Vicky announced the movie, Sam Bahadur. He posted a video with lyricist Gulzar and stated on social media, “it’s him. The myth. the strong will. Sam Bahadur, our Sam… Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw’s life narrative has a name, and today is his birthday. Samuel Bahadur”
