Vidya Balan and husband Siddharth Roy Kapur attended a party in Mumbai where the actress encountered a nip slip in front of the media. but she handled it effectively.
The cocktail celebration for Guneet Monga and Sunny Kapoor, who wed today, was attended by actress Vidya Balan. Vidya showed up for the event with her husband, the producer Siddharth Roy Kapur. She may be seen in an online video handling her saree like an expert after it was caught on the red carpet.
Vidya can be seen in the video greeting a man as she walks in front of Siddharth to pose for cameras, on the red carpet. The actor’s pallu got stuck to something, but she managed to fix it in no time and turned back for cameras.
Vidya attended the event in a black and red floral saree and blouse. Siddharth, her husband, chose an all-black outfit.
Fans of Vidya’s blockbuster hit movie, Dirty Picture, were brought back by her saree moment. Vidya portrayed Silk Smitha, a character in the movie who was renowned for her striking appearance. A viewer’s response to the video was “Dirty picture movie.” Another person chimed in with, “Thank God Ganaa nahi play hua….. Giraa ke aapna paalu (Thank God they didn’t play the Dirty Picture song)”. She was also referred to as a “bindaas actress” for handling the situation properly.
Along with Vidya, numerous other celebrities also showed up for the party. Actresses Sonali Bendre and Neha Dhupia, director Karan Johar, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ekta Kapoor, and others attended the event in Mumbai.
In a private ceremony in Mumbai in 2012, Vidya Balan wed Siddharth. Karan Johar has disclosed how he served as the couple’s cupid. Karan responded when Twinkle Khanna referred to her as the Sima Taparia of Bollywood.
Twinkle told Karan Johar, “You are the Sima aunty of the movie business. You keep doing this matchmaking, and your father did the same thing. When I was speaking to Waheeda Rahman, she mentioned that your father fixed up her marriage, it’s some genetic predisposition to get people together.”
Agreeing with her, Karan recalled how he introduced Siddharth to Vidya Balan. “I take on the responsibility, like I have to do it. It just makes me very happy to do it. It’s like one of the agendas in my life. Vidya (Balan) called me the other day. It was her 12th anniversary, and I had introduced her to Siddharth Roy Kapoor. I was so touched by this call, more than any feedback for a film,” he shared. Vidya was last seen in Jalsa, co-starring Shefali Shah.
